§ 6:511. Requirement of slaughterhouse.

  • (a)

    No person who owns or operates a slaughterhouse, nor his agent, servant, or employee, shall allow any carcass, or part thereof, to leave his slaughterhouse to be sold or offered for sale for human consumption without having been inspected, approved and stamped by the director.

    (b)

    The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the slaughtering of animals and poultry not intended for human consumption, nor to the slaughtering of animals and poultry when the owner thereof certifies that they are for his personal use and not intended for sale or offering for sale.
