There is hereby imposed an inspection fee of twenty-five cents ($0.25) for each red
meat animal inspected by the director, and an inspection fee in the amount of two
dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per hour with a minimum of two dollars and fifty cents
($2.50) for poultry inspections. The fees shall be paid by the owner of the animal
or poultry to the owner of the slaughterhouse to which the animal or poultry is brought,
who shall keep a record of all fees collected in accordance with the director's rules
and regulations and shall remit such records, together with all fees, to the director
of finance upon the first day of the months of January, April, July and October of
each year. The above fees shall not apply whenever matching funds are received from
either state or federal sources on a minimum of 50/50 basis.
