§ 6:52. Screening required on foodstuff for sale.(City)
(a)
It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or offer for sale, in the city any fruit, fish, oysters, vegetables, pies, cakes, candies, popcorn or any other foodstuffs ready for consumption unless the same shall have been kept under screened covers or in a completely screened room or place free from flies or other insects.
(b)
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine of not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00), or imprisoned for not more than twenty (20) days, or both, at the discretion of the court.
