§ 9:164. Self certification form.

(a)

At the time of the application for a license or permit the applicant shall certify on a form provided by the city-parish that the applicant owes no outstanding debt over one hundred dollars ($100.00) to the city-parish as a result of any fine, fee, penalty, interest, or past due sales, use or occupational tax, or fees of any nature.

(b)

Upon receipt of the applicant's certification that the issuance of the license or permit is not prohibited by section 9:161, the city-parish shall consider the application as otherwise provided by law, unless the city-parish has information indicating that the applicant has not paid an outstanding debt as defined in section 9:161.
