§ 9:974. Limitation on teen club locations.

  • Except for teen clubs in existence prior to the effective date of this section, a teen club shall not be located within:

    (1)

    Five hundred (500) feet of any zoning district that is zoned for single or multiple family residential (A1—A5);

    (2)

    Five hundred (500) feet of any preexisting establishment holding a class A or B alcoholic liquor license issued in accordance with chapter 10 of the Code;

    (3)

    Five hundred feet of any preexisting place of worship;

    (4)

    Five hundred feet of another teen club;

    (5)

    Five hundred feet of any accredited public or private school.

    For purposes of this Section, measurements shall be made in a straight line, without regard to intervening structures or objects, from the property line of the teen club to the nearest property line of a property described in subsections (1) through (5) above.
