§ 8:17. Violations and penalties.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to:

    (1)

    Use any false or fictitious name or address or knowingly make any other false statement or conceal any material fact in an application for a license or renewal thereof.

    (2)

    Lend or knowingly permit any other person to use his contractor's license.

    (3)

    Fail or refuse to surrender to proper authority a contractor's license which has been suspended or revoked.

    (b)

    Any person who fails to secure a permit prior to installing or altering equipment or who violates any of the provisions of this code shall upon conviction be subject to a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or less than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment for not more than sixty (60) days or by both such fine and imprisonment. A separate offense shall be deemed committed upon each day during which or on which any violation occurs or continues.
