§ 4:58. Disposition of badges, commissions and police revolvers of retiring officers.(City)

The chief of police is authorized, in his discretion, to award to any regular employee under municipal fire and police civil service, who is retiring after twenty (20) or more years of service, or who is being retired from service due to disability, his police badge and commission as a retirement gift from the police department; and the employee is authorized to purchase his police service revolver from the police department at replacement cost.
