§ 1:775. Holidays; every Saturday, certain Fridays.

Pursuant to the provisions of R.S. 1:55A(4):

(1)

The whole of every Saturday is hereby declared and shall hereafter be a holiday within the parish;

(2)

When December 25, or July 4, falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday is declared a holiday; provided in the City of Baton Rouge, City of Baker and in the Town of Zachary, any bank or trust company at its option may remain open on the foregoing holidays and transact business and exercise all its legal banking functions to exactly the same extent as if such days were not otherwise legal holidays.
