§ 1:233. Longevity benefits for designated elected officials.

  • (a)

    The persons in the positions of mayor-president and constable as of April 4, 2015 shall receive longevity under the following schedule:

    (1)

    The designated elected official with a total of ten (10) years of service shall receive longevity pay at the rate of five (5) percent of that official's current base rate of pay;

    (2)

    An additional one (1) percent shall be granted for each year of service thereafter up to a maximum of twenty (20) percent.

    (b)

    The director of finance and the personnel administrator shall certify the eligibility of the designated elected official for benefits, and the payment of such benefits shall be in addition to the current base rate of pay of any such elected official.
