§ 11:245. Equipment for motorcycle riders.

  • (a)

    No person shall operate or ride upon a motorcycle unless he is wearing protective headgear which complies with the standards established by the state under the State Highway Regulatory Act.

    (b)

    No person shall operate a motorcycle unless he is wearing an eye-protective device of a type approved by the state under the State Highway Regulatory Act.

    (c)

    Subsection (b) shall not apply to persons riding within an enclosed cab, or to those operating a motorcycle with a windscreen.
