§ 9:115. License revoked on violation.

  • If any place of business or establishment operated under the provisions of this part shall be guilty of any illegal act, or violation of any of the provisions of this part, or of the other applicable ordinances of the city-parish, or if the owner or operator thereof permits any illegal act or any such violation to occur on the premises of such place of business or establishment, then in such event the chief of the inspection division shall be authorized to forthwith revoke the license granted hereunder. Any person whose permit or license has been revoked as aforesaid may, within ten (10) days after receipt of a notice thereof, appeal to the council for a hearing thereon, and the decision of the council in this regard shall be final. Irrespective of any such appeal, revocation, if based upon any illegal act or violation of any ordinance or regulation of the city-parish, shall be effective immediately upon receipt of notice thereof and taking of an appeal shall not suspend the revocation.
