§ 9:1050. Definition.

  • Pursuant to the provisions of R.S. 37:1861, every person engaged, or employed in the city in the business of buying, selling, trading in, or otherwise acquiring or disposing of used or second-hand property, including, but not limited to, jewelry, firearms, silverware, diamonds, pictures, objects of art, clothing, tools, automobile accessories and supplies, sporting goods or furniture and other such property, is a second-hand dealer. Any retail merchant acquiring more than three (3) second-hand items in a period of thirty (30) days shall be deemed a second-hand dealer.
