§ 9:968. Identification of minors.

A licensee shall be required at all times to identify by wristband any minor inside the teen club and shall keep an entry log of all minors. Each minor shall enter on the entry log his or her name and date of birth. The licensee and his agents shall ensure that the log entries by the minors match the name and age on the required proof of age, and that such entries are legible. In the case of proof of age by attestation of a parent, the parent's identification shall be checked, and the parent shall sign his or her name legibly, as well as attesting to the age of the child. These logs are declared to be public records within the purview of R.S. 14:133, which are maintained for the city-parish by the licensee and his agents. The licensee shall make such log available to the alcoholic beverage control office or any officer of the city police department or parish sheriff's office upon request.
