The owner, proprietor or manager of any hotel, motel, rooming house or other place
of public accommodation shall report, within twenty-four (24) hours after renting,
to the chief of police and the sheriff the name of any person who has rented a room
or other space for the purpose of buying or selling gold or silver, or gold or silver
related products, giving the location of the room or space so rented.
