§ 6:508. Transportation.

  • All meat and meat products and poultry and poultry products shall be transported only in accordance with the regulations of the director and the laws of the state. All vehicles used for transport shall be kept clean and sanitary and be properly refrigerated. Vehicles transporting meat and meat products or poultry and poultry products which have not been slaughtered or killed in accordance with the provisions of this chapter must remain closed and no transfer, loading or unloading of meat and meat products or poultry and poultry products shall take place within the city-parish. In the case of vehicle accident, provision for reloading may be arranged through the director.
