§ 5:853. Compensation of board members.

(a)

Members of the board may by resolution authorize themselves to be paid a per diem for attending board meetings and expenses in accordance with R.S. 40:1498.

(b)

If a member of the board is elected secretary or treasurer of the board, that member may be compensated additionally for such office.

(c)

All payments authorized under this section shall be paid exclusively from funds of the district.
