§ 5:1003. Compensation of board members.

(a)

Members of the board may by resolution authorize themselves to be paid a per diem for attending board meetings and expenses in accordance with R.S. 40:1498.

(b)

If a member of the board is elected secretary or treasurer or secretary-treasurer of the board, that member may be compensated additionally for such office.

(c)

All payments authorized under this section shall be paid exclusively from funds of the district.
