§ 2:302. Connection required; penalty.

  • Wherever there is an established, constructed and operating sanitary sewerage system, as provided herein, all improved premises in the district and within three hundred (300) feet of the system shall be tied to and connected with the system, and the failure of the owner of any improved property in the district and within three hundred (300) feet of an established sanitary sewerage system to tie in and connect with the system after notice as provided herein, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable, upon conviction, by a fine of not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00), or imprisonment for not more than twenty (20) days, or both, at the discretion of the judge of the court.
