§ 1:909. Implementation.

A.

Personnel department; authority. The council delegates all responsibility for implementation and administration of this chapter to the personnel department of the city-parish, in order to assure the uniformity of its enforcement throughout the city-parish workforce. This responsibility shall include, but not be limited to, the authority to develop regulations and procedures, for approval by the personnel board, which shall be accorded the same authority as the provisions of this chapter.

B.

Severability. If any provision or item of this chapter or the application thereof is declared invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions, items, or applications of the chapter which can be given effect without the invalid provisions, items, or applications, and to this end the provisions of this chapter are hereby declared severable.

C.

Effective date. This chapter shall become effective thirty (30) days after adoption.
