§ 1:906. Compliance with statutes and regulations.

The adoption of this chapter is intended to fulfill any and all state and federal statutory and regulatory requirements that the city-parish promulgate a written substance abuse policy. Where applicable, the city-parish shall conduct drug testing pursuant to this chapter and in accordance with:
A.

Federal regulations. United States Department of Transportation Drug Testing Procedures, Federal Aviation Administration Anti-Drug Program Rules, and Federal Highway Administration Controlled-Substance Testing Rules;

B.

The Louisiana Drug Testing Law;

C.

The Louisiana Workers' and Unemployment Compensation Law; and

D.

Other applicable rules. Any other applicable federal, state or local statutes, regulations, ordinances, or laws.
