§ 1:751. Election of justices and constables; powers and duties. (Parish)

There shall be elected from each of the above justice of the peace districts one justice of the peace and one constable, who shall have such powers and duties as are established for such officials under the constitution and general laws of the state, and who shall be authorized to exercise such powers and duties within the jurisdiction of the respective district from which they shall be elected.
