§ 1:460. Strikes, engaging in, abetting, failing to cross pickets; prohibited; penalty.
(a)
It shall be unlawful for any person in the service of the city-parish to engage in or participate in or to aid, abet, advocate or encourage any strike or work stoppage against any governmental agency.
(b)
It shall be unlawful for any person in the service of the city-parish to engage in or participate in any strike or picketing arising out of a labor dispute or to loiter in the vicinity of any strike, labor dispute or picket line unless required to do so by public duty.
(c)
It shall be unlawful for any person in the service of the city-parish to fail or refuse to cross any picket line where his public duty requires such crossing.
(d)
It shall be unlawful for any person to advocate, aid, abet or encourage any strike against any public agency or authority of the city-parish, or the state.
(e)
Any person who violates any of the provisions of this section shall upon conviction thereof, be fined not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00) or be imprisoned for not more than sixty (60) days or both, such fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the court. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
