Design drawings and specifications for all elements of the sidewalk café equipment
and the location of such equipment, or other structures temporary or permanent, proposed
for placement upon the public sidewalk shall conform to the minimum city-parish standards
as provided for in this chapter and as prescribed by the director of the department
of development. Design drawings and specifications shall be subject to design review
and alteration for the protection from damage to the sidewalks, and for protection
of the health, safety and welfare of the general public. The director of the department
of development shall submit the design plans and specifications to the downtown development
district staff for review and approval. Once the design elements are approved by the
downtown development district staff, the proposed design shall be attached to the
permit.
