§ 15:24. Interpretation.

This chapter shall be given the interpretation consistent with the intent of the council that any delegation of power hereunder shall be in strict compliance with the authority of Act 151 of 1969 and the constitution and laws of the state. Should any delegation of power be held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the remaining authorizations, powers and delegations provided for in this chapter under the authority of Act 151 of 1969 and the constitution and laws of the state shall continue to be given full force and effect, and this resolution is declared to be severable.
