§ 14:304. Grandfather clause.

  • Any currently permitted wild or exotic animal which is housed or kept in the parish prior to this title becoming law, must meet all requirements of this title and be inspected and permitted or denied a permit by the animal control and rescue center director within six (6) months of the effective date of this title. No wild or exotic animal grandfathered in shall be allowed to breed. The grandfather permit shall expire after the animal dies, is sold, or is transferred out of the parish.
