§ 13:91.9. Misrepresentation of age to obtain alcoholic beverages or gain entry to licensed premises prohibited; penalties.
A.
It is unlawful for any person under the age of twenty-one (21) years to present or offer to any person having a license or permit to sell alcoholic beverages, under Title 26 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 or under the wine, beer and liquor ordinance of the city and parish, or to his agent or employee any written, printed, or photostatic evidence of age and identity which is false, fraudulent, or not actually his own for the purpose of obtaining or purchasing alcoholic beverages or attempting to enter the licensed premises.
B.
Every establishment which is licensed to sell alcoholic beverages shall post a sign in a conspicuous place at the entranceway to the premises of the establishment advising patrons of the prohibitions and penalties contained within this section.
C.
Whoever violates the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or imprisonment for up to six (6) months, or both. Each violation shall be a separate offense.
D.
As used in this section, "licensed premises" means an establishment licensed under Title 26 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 or under the wine, beer and liquor ordinance of the city and parish, where the sale of alcoholic beverages constitutes its main business.
