§ 11:96. Pedestrians soliciting rides, business, employment or contributions of a charitable nature.

  • (a)

    No person shall stand in a roadway or upon the shoulder of any street or roadway or upon a neutral ground of any street or roadway for the purpose of soliciting a ride.

    (b)

    No person shall be upon or go upon any street or roadway or shall be upon or go upon any shoulder of any street or roadway nor shall any such person be upon or go upon any neutral ground of any street or roadway for the purpose of soliciting employment, business or charitable contributions of any kind from the occupant of any vehicle, except for a member of a professional firefighter's association when soliciting contributions, as a member of such association, on behalf of a bona fide charitable organization.

    (c)

    No person shall stand on or in proximity to a street or highway for the purpose of soliciting the watching or guarding of any vehicle while parked or about to be parked on a street or highway.
