§ 11:434. Exemption from citation.

(a)

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this title to the contrary, there is provided an exemption from citation for illegal parking on Sundays for the purpose of attending religious services at any recognized church in the city and parish.

(b)

Any church which does not wish to be included in the provisions of subsection (a) above shall be excluded from this exemption by submitting a letter on the church's stationery to the chief of police of the city requesting such exclusion, signed by appropriate authorized representative or representatives of the church.
