§ 11:276. Sirens and whistles prohibited.

No vehicle, except authorized emergency vehicles, shall be equipped with, nor shall any driver of any vehicle, except authorized emergency vehicles, use any siren, bell or whistle or any other type of horn or horns, or other similar devices, which are used ordinarily by fire department or police department vehicles, or ambulances, and which might cause others to believe that such were authorized emergency vehicles.
