§ 10:253. Fee; annual license.

  • (a)

    Each applicant for a chauffeur's license hereunder shall pay a fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) to the chief of police.

    (b)

    The license shall be valid for a period of one (1) year unless revoked, canceled or suspended.

    (c)

    Every chauffeur's license in good standing shall be renewable on or before its expiration upon sworn application and payment of the required fee.

    (d)

    Every chauffeur's license in effect upon the effective date of this chapter shall continue in full force and effect until expiration as previously established unless revoked, canceled or suspended by the chief of police in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. Upon expiration of existing licenses, the licensees may renew their licenses upon application in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
