§ 10:108. Bus and other mass transit conveyance drivers and operators.
Latest version.
Every bus driver or operator operating a bus within the city-parish transporting passengers
for hire shall possess current driver's license issued by the state, and current chauffeur's
license issued by the state and city-parish. Every driver or operator of other mass
transit conveyances shall possess the appropriate Coast Guard, Federal Aviation Administration,
or other appropriate regulatory certificate. Each bus or other mass transit conveyance
driver or operator shall submit to a complete physical examination at least once a
year by a physician approved by the commission, and if found to be physically qualified
for his work and function, shall be furnished with a certificate of such fact by the
examining physician, which shall be filed by the bus or other mass transit conveyance
owner with the commission within five (5) days of issuance. Such physical examinations
shall be at the expense of the bus or other mass transit conveyance owner.
